Dr. Hendriks is an Associate Professor in Paediatrics at the University of Cambridge and a Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes at Cambridge University Hospitals. He has a strong interest in undergraduate medical education and leads educational initiatives across the East of England, including a regional undergraduate teaching programme linking all three medical schools in the region. His research focuses on immunotherapy and novel biomarkers such as home-collected dried blood spot C-peptide to monitor beta-cell function in children with type 1 diabetes.
